Why This Resource Exists
Kentucky public records are spread among agencies with different duties. Cumberland County has no operating local jail building, so the elected jailer may first identify the county where a detainee was housed. The housing jail documents a direct release or transfer. Kentucky Department of Corrections systems cover state inmates and people under DOC supervision, while court records explain bond, dismissal, sentencing, probation, and later orders. Federal releases use a separate Bureau of Prisons system.
This site organizes those distinct routes in one place. It points visitors toward release records, current-custody checks, statewide offender information, supervision contacts, and written-request procedures. It does not replace the agency that created a record.
Resources Available Here
The content is arranged around practical, purpose-neutral questions about custody and release:
- The home page provides the full Cumberland County released-inmate search and release-record request path.
- Release Date Lookup, VINE Inmate Check, and Post-Release Supervision address different state records.
- Facility pages explain the Cumberland County jail function and Adair County Regional Jail, including the correct agency contacts.
- Recent-release pages distinguish the absence of a local feed from Kentucky DOC's dated state-inmate reports.
- Records guidance identifies the likely custodian for a booking entry, release event, transport record, court order, or nonexempt photograph.
Limits of This Site
Cumberland County Released Inmates is privately run. It has no connection to Cumberland County, the Adair County Regional Jail, a sheriff or jailer, the Kentucky Department of Corrections, a court, or any other government agency.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds for a visitor.
- We do not give legal advice.
- We cannot guarantee that every address, phone number, fee, or office hour remains current.
Only the responsible jail, court, corrections department, or other originating agency can confirm custody, charges, a release event, or an official record.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by independent providers. Those companies control their own results, data practices, and prices. If a search tool leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the general reference material available at no charge, but it does not give us control over a partner's service or billing.
